Can you say Red River Rivalry three times fast? If you can't then just say OU/tx weekeend, but make sure you say OU first. That is very important. This weekend is something I look forward to all year. Who doesn't love good friends, family, fried food, extreme exhaustion, and Oklahoma football domination? I am sure the Texas fans did not enjoy the Oklahoma domination part...The weekend started with a bday dinner with my bestie, Sarah T.
I don't know what I would do without her. We pretended we were back in college and headed down to Uptown for a night of people watching and sparatic dancing. An early morning wake up call for an 11 AM kick off reminded me that I am not quiet as young as I use to be...
If you didn't know I am a 3rd generation Sooner, and OU is where my parents met {aww how cute}. My brother is a rebel and goes to the University of Arkansas. At least we have similar colors. I have decided that if I ever have to move away from my beloved home, coming back for OUtx weekend will have to be a part of the bargain.
The football game takes place on a neutral field in Dallas in the Cotton Bowl.
I love how the stadium is split down the middle...
We dominated. It was an ugly game for Texas. I almost felt bad for them.
So many touchdowns and defensive stops resulted in a very hoarse voice.
I'm thankful for a great weekend with friends/family, and I am thankful I am a Sooner.
