My First Shower

  Tall Tan Man would read the title of this post and say "about time you showered."  Oh men, they just don't get it sometimes.  :)  I am having SO MUCH FUN with all the wedding things.  This shower was hosted by my high school friends Mommas, and they did a phenomenal job!  I loved everything about it {i am not exaggerating}.

Many friends and family were able to make it which made me feel extremely blessed.

My Momma

College friend, Kristen :)

High School Friends!

College friend, Jill!

Aunt Lisa, cousins Melissa, Tora, and Kathryn.  (Momma was wanting to talk throughout pictures (: love her)

I couldn't include all the pictures, because my pure excitement might scare some of ya'll. Looking at he pictures I was thinking "is that what I look like when I am really happy?"

You bet I tried to tear some bows... ;)

Well, I just have one more day before the semester is over, and then I get two weeks off!  I am so ready...

Chocolate PB Pretzel Cookies

Well hellllllllo big dallop!  Name that movie.  Come on, you can do it! Think Christmas movie, LA, England, and Cameron Diaz.  I love The Holiday.  I can't watch it with people, because I am that annoying person that knows every line.

I am having such an amazing December! I had my first shower on Sunday and it was sooooo fun.  I will be posting about it later this week.  :)  This was my first Christmas baking was these fabulous cookies.  I apologize for the final picture...it took me a couple days to get to it so they are a little abused!  These cookies are fast and easy!  I used {THIS} recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction.  The only thing I had to do differently was add close to 1 cup of powder sugar instead of 1/2 cup.  Have a great rest of the week!

ALL THE SINGLE LADIES {one last time}

I am extremely blessed to work with a wonderful people.  Within my department I work with 4 fabulous "single ladies" or as we sometimes call ourselves the ladies with no "spousal companions."  We decided we do not need a man or a precious newborn baby in order to make a Christmas card {we have each other... (: }.  This will be my last year making a single ladies Christmas card {hey-oh, I AM GETTING MARRIED} so I am glad it turned out so darn cute!

Hope ya'll are enjoying Christmas time!

DIY Mugs

I know DIY mugs are all the rage right now, but I just couldn't resist.  You know something is popular when it takes going to 4 different craft stores before you find the supplies you need.  I was going to make these mugs for Tall Tan Man for Christmas, but I decided that was a selfish gift.  It would be like him buying me surround sound speakers he really wants {this has never happened thankfully}.  He doesn't really drink hot coffee which is weird, because he is the one from Colorado.  Also, I wanted to use a pretty font, which confirmed this was a gift for myself.

*Disclaimer* If you are are like me then you get inspired to do a project at 10 PM...you cannot do that with this project {unless you are in college and sleep deprivation doesn't affect you}.  You will need about 5ish hours for this project, no you are not working all that time.  To make mugs like this you will need:

Mug {Homegoods, Target, Dollar Store}
Transfer Paper {by the canvases}
Tape
Pencil
Printed Word
Acrylic Pen

1.  Tape printed paper and transfer paper onto you mug.  Make sure it is straight, and the transfer paper is turned the correct way {learned that the hard way}!

2.  Stencil your word onto the mug.

3.  Remove paper and trace over with acrylic pen.  Keep in mind the acrylic will wipe off if you mess up.

4.  Now go get a manicure, Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte, and a red box while your mugs dry for at least 4 hours.

5.  Place mugs in a non-pre-heated oven {weird, I know...}, and bake them at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.  When time is up open oven door, and allow mugs to cool slowly.

The great thing about this project is there are so many options, and it would make a great Christmas gift!  Here are the two images I used.  You will need to download it, and adjust the size before you print.

Have a great week!  Christmas countdown is almost 2 weeks!!!

Engagement Pictures

Over Thanksgiving break Tall Tan Man and I got to take engagement pictures with Meghann Jaline Photographie.  We had SO much fun.  Tall Tan Man was such a trooper.  :)  Here are some of my favorites!  I LOVE them Meg!

Such a model...

Still can't believe he knew exactly what I wanted...

My idea...haha not sure if it is cute, but it sure makes me smile.  I think Tall Tan Man looks more normal, because all he had to do was step over the pole {I had to work a little harder (: }.

We I wanted to climb the tree {there were no injuries}.

I am glad he loves me.

"Honey we should throw leaves in the air and kiss as they fall..." He had a different idea.

This one might be my favorite.

As you can see we had so much fun.  I don't know if my cheeks were hurting from smiling or laughing.  Thank you Meghann for taking these awesome pictures {and putting up with our shenanigans}.  I am off to carb load, my Mom and I are running another half marathon tomorrow!  I hope ya'll have a great rest of your weekend.  :)
