Our New Christmas Tree + Basket Tree Skirt

Man oh man, I love Christmas time!  Before Thanksgiving, I told Tall Tan Man I wanted to get a new Christmas tree.  He pretty much looked at me like I was nuts and said no.  I cried.  No, not really... but I did proceed to shop for a new reasonably priced flocked tree.  Everything I found was about $175+ which was a little higher than I was thinking.  I can be terrible at spending money on something that I know I might not like in a couple years. Does that make me awful?  Probably... Anyways, Tall Tan Man come home from work a few days later and told me he sold my tree.  WHAT?!  I guess one of his coworkers was looking for a tree and that was that.  

Then on one of my weekly trips to Homegoods, I found my flocked tree for only $80!!!  I stood by the tree until I spotted a worker.  There was no way I was going to let anyone else take that tree!  The only downside to the tree is that it wasn't prelit annnnd it wouldn't fit in the DIY Tree Crate I made last year.  

I searched and searched for a basket to put my tree in and didn't have any luck.  Then it dawned on me... Mack's basket!  Yep, this is the same basket I took pictures of Mack in.  

I can't wait for Mack to experience Christmas this year!  He says ho ho ho every time we see anything Santa and I am trying to teach him Happy Birthday Jesus.  I'll try to get a video of him singing.  :)
