the day we found out we were having a boy

Hello!  If you follow me on Instagram then you know that Tall Tan Man and I had the greatest time in Europe!  I have been waking up at 3 AM ready for breakfast everyday since we got home...  Jet lag is brutal.  Yesterday I was able to go back to sleep till 5 and decided to clean out my closet...  This nesting thing is a real!!!

Alright, onto our story...

When I was 11 weeks pregnant I did the harmony test which is a genetics test that also tells you the sex of the baby.  I was very anti genetics test, but Tall Tan Man wanted as few surprises the day that our Little Man arrived as possible.  This made sense to me and I was excited to find out the sex so we went for it!  When the doctor called me with the results I asked for her to tell me the health info first {which was all good}, and then to call me back and leave a voicemail with the sex.  I hurried over to a bakery and asked them to fill the cupcakes with whatever the doc said in the voicemail.  It just so happen we got the news earlier than expected and that we were flying to Nashville that night.  Tall Tan Man has a lot of friends in Nashville and we had so much fun surprising them with a) we were having a baby and b) we were going to find out the sex with them.

We both were so excited to find out!  I had to practice so much self control for 24+ hours to not listen to the voicemail.

I listened to the voicemail after we ate the cupcakes just to make sure we were having a little man :)

I still can't believe I am going to be a Mom!

What's going on with us!

Hi there!  We have had a couple busy weekends full of home remodeling and I wanted to catch y'all up!  If you follow me on {instagram} then you know we Tall Tan Man has been a tiling machine.  Our master bathroom was obviously outdated but the bigger problem was the TINY shower.

Tall Tan Man does not fit in tiny showers...  We ordered a shower kit from Home Depot and I can't wait to see how it looks with the glass walls!  We considered getting someone to come in and pour a custom pan, but the price difference was $1000.

Our hall bathroom was a hodge-podge of ugly.  I really think everything that was purchased had to be on clearance.

The bathroom was completely gutted except for the existing floor tile.
New tub, tile, vanity light, and mirror have been installed!

Up next is our kitchen which is almost 100% done!  HOLY MOLY!  I can't believe I just typed that...

All that is left is grouting the tile, adding baseboards, touching up some paint, and possible adding open shelves in the back left corner!!!  This kitchen has been our biggest project and I still can't believe this is what it started out as...

Other projects we have going on are painting all the trim, trying different colors on the front door {I can't decide...}, and I am still growing a baby.  I have been able to feel our little man move a BUNCH now.  It is the coolest and weirdest feeling.  I moved our guestroom to the basement yesterday and it made everything seem a little more real!  Here is Little Man's room:

We obviously still have a bunch to do!  :)  I hope y'all have a great week!!
