We added about 8 feet of grass to the existing yard and it looks better every year. We used grass seed instead of sod to save money, which I would do all over again.
We also added a garden and built an AC unit cover!
Other than cleaning up the yard, we have one more pesky area to work on. Our side yard is u.g.l.y. and our neighbors yard isn't much better {and hopefully not a blog reader :) }. We don't want to build a fence so I am contemplating a couple ideas. If you have any fantastic ideas that don't entail a lot of $$$'s, let me hear them!
We bought this shed from our neighbor for $100 {wooohooo} and had it moved for $400 {booooooo}. I can't tell you how many times when it snowed, I wanted to go outside right then and start painting the dingy shed. Last month we painted it the same white as our house trim. I really want to add an industrial light to it and wreaths on the doors this winter!
All three of us love spending time in our backyard {especially Mack}! Slowly but surely we will add more landscaping and "fix" the ugly side of the yard. I hope everyone is enjoying the last weeks of summer. This fall loving girl is ready for the leaves to start changing!

Thanks for sharing your backyard journey! It looks amazing and gave me fun ideas too. At Augusta fencing, we love seeing families enjoy their yards more. I really liked the shed makeover and grass tips. Wishing you the best with the side yard—so exciting!
