Spring Cookie Cake

Who is excited it is Monday!?  I pretty sure my Monday would be more bearable if I had some of this cookie cake left over... but #noselfcontrol #thirdtrimester  Cookie Cake is one of my top 5 favorite desserts.  Tall Tan Man learned this on my last birthday when I asked him for one and he did not get it...  I occasionally like to remind him that I am still waiting on my cookie cake.  I'm thinking he is going to wait the 3 more months till my birthday now!   He's a smart guy and knows not to mess with a 38 week pregnant girl's birthday cake! #hormones 

Chocolate Cake + Easy White Chocolate Trees

YAYYYY, IT'S MONDAY!  It is a good Monday because Christmas is only ONE week away!  We celebrated Christmas with Tall Tan Man's family this past weekend and I was in charge of the dessert.  Please don't ask me to make real food... ;)  I made a similar chocolate cake for Mack's first birthday, and loved how it looked but not how it tasted.  Box Cake = Barf #jk #kindof

Strawberry Cake

Hey guys.  I bet you have figured out by now I am a lover of sweets.  I was in charge of making the dessert for our Easter Lunch, and I wanted to make something new.  Last year I made {Vanilla Cupcakes}, and was tempted to make them again because they were de-lish.  After snooping through my Cake Doctor Book, I found this Strawberry Cake Recipe. AND HOLY CRAP, excuse my language, I just found out she has a {blog}...  I can already feel my pants tightening... I love her recipes because they don't require much...

 

and they are easy and yummy!

 My only frustration about this recipe is mine didn't turn out too pretty...whoops.  I don't looove coconut so I did not add it to the icing.  This might of had something to do with the consistency.  If I were to make this cake again I would just bake it in a 9 by 13 pan and serve it from the pan.  When Tall Tan Man saw the cake he said "what happened to it?!?" haha 

Hope ya'll have a great week!  I am so excited because prom is finally over...  I do not have have the hear about best places to buy boutonnieres, get a spray tan, or the dress they will always love {yeah right, I'll give you a year...maybe two}.
